Help a Child!
hawkwing's Annual Give Away

The Lakota children live in the worst poverty in all of America.

Food and water shortages are a part of daily living.

Many children go without winter coats despite sub-zero temperatures and high winds.

Many families lack adequate beds and bedding for their children.

There is a housing and heating crisis with many families living in substandard housing.

There are no industries and few jobs making an unemployment rate of 87.5%.

There are rampant health problems with some of the highest rates of tuberculosis, infant mortality, suicide, cervical cancer, high blood pressure and diabetes in America.

Schools struggle to provide children with a quality education due to a severe lack of funds from the Federal Government.

Only 3 in every 10 students graduate high school.

Life expectancy is age 48.

For these children, life is hard.

That is why hawkwing began the annual Holiday Give Away Program.

This program provides basic need items to the children of the Cheyenne River Lakota Reservation in South Dakota.

Students, adults and organizations across America support Lakota families through friendship, caring and sharing.

December, 2006 will be our seventh Holiday Give Away!

This year, hawkwing plans to serve nearly 3,000 Lakota children ~

won't you help too?
